最佳解答:
A need not bound to sell the car to B at $5000.00 since there was no verbal or written consent from A. It is not reasonable that A must answer B by 7:00 PM today . Why not by one minute immediately ? Instead, A can write to B that the offer is only valid by 7:00 PM today.

This is a basic principle in Law of Contract ... Silence doesn't constitute an Acceptance ... No contract at all. There is a case law in your study with this wordings ... If I hear no more from you, I shall regard the horse to be mine.... So, she is not bound by the counter-offer from B as she is silent and doesn't accept this counter-offer. The asumption of B is invalid could not stand and hence, no contract at all.
